Gonna Trade This Life for Fortune and Fame…(That’s What He Thinks, Anyway)

I’m not gonna lie, I really am a fairly athletic person. I play soccer and tennis, and I can run for prolonged periods of time (seriously, I really can. LONG periods of time). Unfortunately, as much as I love tennis, I am not that great at it. But thanks to playing badminton with the 5 year old I babysat earlier today, I feel like Roger Federer. (I don’t know any professional badminton players.) Wooooo!!! Other highlights of the money-making process include:

Child: I have three choices of what to be when I grow up!
Me: What do you want to be?
Child: A rock star-
Me: (somewhat sarcastically) You’d make a good rock star.
Child: (matter-of-factly) I know.

(we had just finished reading a book, and he walks around the room, finally stopping next to me)
Child: I think we should do something else.
Me: Like what?
Child: Let’s talk about something.
Me: Sure, if you want.
Child: Let’s discuss our pajamas.
Me: *speechless*

In other news, what was up with the Emmys last night? Jimmy Fallon was not hilarious enough, Alec Baldwin was defeated, and Hugh Laurie was robbed of his statue YET AGAIN. I almost cried. By portraying House perfectly through all the trials he endured last season, Hugh needs that Emmy! It is long overdue.
I’m out, blog-readers! Time to go write the Emmy people some hate mail!
 XOXO
